December 7 deadlineSaturday, December 7th Is The Last Day This Year To Make Changes To Your Coverage!
Although this time of year is busy and filled with various holiday preparations, I wanted to take a moment to remind you that the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) is ending on December 7. You only have a few more days to make a decision about your Medicare Advantage or Medicare Part D Prescription Drug plan.
Last Chance to Change or Replace Medicare Plans!
Just to refresh your memory, this is the time of the year when you can make changes to an existing Medicare Part D plan or Medicare Supplement plan. It is also the only time you can purchase a Medicare Advantage plan, which replaces Original Medicare. Unless you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period, you won’t be able to make any changes again until the AEP in 2014. It’s important to lock in your choice now to make sure you have the coverage you need.
Talk with a Medicare Expert!
I recommend that you consult a Medicare expert when it comes to making health insurance decisions. There are many factors that influence what product you choose. For example, if you are on regular medications you may chose a Medicare Advantage plan that includes prescription drug coverage. By meeting with someone who specializes in Medicare supplement insurance, you can be sure that your coverage needs will be met throughout the next year.
Don’t Miss this Crucial Deadline!
Remember, the last day to enroll in or change a Medicare Advantage or Prescription Drug plan is December 7. Mailed applications must be received by December 7th, even if you’ve postmarked it before that date! Online and fax applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. on Saturday.
