You Can Change Medicare Private Plans during Open Enrollment

If you have a Medicareprivate health plan (known as a Medicare Advantage plan), and want to switch into a new one, you should enroll in the new plan without canceling your old plan. You will be automatically dis-enrolled from your old plan when new coverage begins. You can change your Medicare Advantage plan once during an open enrollment period, which runs from January 1 through March 31 every year.

Special circumstances may make you eligible for a special enrollment period, such as if your MedicareAdvantage plan committed abuse or marketing fraud, or if you enroll in Extra Help. That’s a federal program that helps people with Medicarepay for prescription drugs.

At MediGap Advisors, we understand Medicare Advantage plans and Medicare Supplement Plans, which are also called Medigap Insurance Plans. We offer free consultations to answer your questions about these plans. To learn more about Medicare Advantage and Medigap Insurance Plans from the highest-rated companies (such as Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana One, Mutual of Omaha, and UnitedHealthcare), you can use our simple Medigap “How To” Guide, or call us at 866-323-1441. We have evening and weekend telephone appointment times available for your convenience.
