United of Omaha Now Offering Medicare Supplement Coverge in Oregon

United of Omaha, a Mutual of Omaha company since 1926, is now offering Medicare Supplement plans in the state of Oregon. United of Omaha is rated “A+” (Superior) by A.M. Best and offers the same quality products and services associated with the Mutual of Omaha brand name.

The monthly premiums for for these new United of Omaha Medicare Supplement (also referred to as Medigap) plans are amongst the lowest in the state. United of Omaha also does not charge a “policy fee,” unlike many other carriers that charge clients this fee in addition to their monthly premium. United of Omaha Medicare also offers a rare family discount of 7% to eligible applicants living with a spouse, sibling or even a friend who owns a Mutual of Omaha, United World or United of Omaha Med supp policy – something that is virtually unheard of in the Medicare Supplement arena.

This multi policy discount is available to:

  • Individuals who reside together for at least one year (or are married), apply together for and are both issued United of Omaha policies.
  • Individuals who reside for at least one year with (or are married to) another Med supp policyholder who currently owns a Mutual of Omaha, United World, or United of Omaha Med supp policy. The discount only applies to the United of Omaha premium.

The combination of no policy fees and a 7% family discount allows United of Omaha to offer Medigap plans at prices far below the norm. For example, individuals residing in 973-979 zip codes can purchase Medigap Plan F (the most popular Medicare Supplement plan) for $82.25 monthly for females, or $87.51 monthly for males; while Plan G cost just $69.91 per month for females, and $74.39 for males.
