Do Medicare Advantage Plans Have Drawbacks?

You might have heard of Medicare Advantage Plans over the news, on the Internet, or from your friends. These plans can be very advantageous, but there may be a few drawbacks. For starters, the plans are not universally available.

If you live in an area where Medicare Advantage Plans are available, the rates can be very inexpensive. They may also provide benefits not found in Original Medicare.

One of the Medicare Advantage Plans may cover dental services as well as helping with the cost of eyeglasses and hearing aids. Many Advantage plans also include prescription coverage, but not all of these plans cover the same medications.
