From October 15 through December 7 every year, you are free to enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan, no questions asked. If you receive disability benefits, you can join from three months before to three months after the 25th month of disability. If you’re turning 65, you can join from three months before to three months after your 65th birthday month.
Also during this time period, you can switch from Original Medicare to an Advantage plan, or add a supplement plan to your existing Medicare benefits.
