Hi, my name is Diane Brandt.  I love being a wife, a mother, a grandmother and a nurse.  However, if asked which I like best, perhaps I would repeat what my mother-in-law once said when asked which of her seven children she liked the most.  She replied with insightful wisdom, "Whichever one needs me the most."  And so I hope that I, too, would be wise enough to say the same if asked which role I like most.

Helping other people has been a lifelong pursuit for me.  As a child, I was lucky enough to occasionally go on house calls with my physician dad.  He went to see patients at their homes in the evenings, long after the tradition of making house calls had come to an end.  He taught me the value of earnestly reaching out to help other people.

When I was a little girl, I always wanted to be a nurse.  As a nurse working in a hospital environment, I found that my favorite times were those I spent caring for critically ill patients.  I worked mostly with patients who had just suffered spinal cord injuries and were paralyzed.  Many were teenagers who had been injured in diving accidents, while swimming, or in motorcycle accidents.  At the end of each shift, I knew that I had truly made a difference in someone's life that day.  Those were the most rewarding years of my nursing career.

I married my husband two years ago and relocated back to my childhood hometown.  Life has become very different for both of us, as I had been single for seventeen years, and he had been single for twenty-two.  We grew up across the street from each other, dated throughout high school, and then split up, only to be reunited so many years later.  The greatest joy in my marriage is that my husband says he's happy we're married.  Because of my background in health care, my husband delegated all healthcare decisions to me.  As a small business owner, he was paying premiums for health care that I found to be astoundingly high.  While pursuing a better alternative for him, I found MediGap Advisors.  I was encouraged by both the friendly, caring support I received, as well as by finding health insurance for him at just 15% of the amount that he had been paying previously.  Since I had been looking for a way to aid people in some aspect of their healthcare needs again, MediGap Advisors was a perfect fit for me. MediGap Advisors offers me the opportunity to help other people find solutions to their healthcare needs, just as I was helped.

I also have three sons.  Two are married with two children each.  What amazes me most about my sons is that they are awesome dads.  I say that because they grew up without a dad.  For that reason, it warms my heart to see what great fathers they have turned out to be.  My third son is amazingly bright, sensitive and autistic.  I've learned a lot about life and what's important from him.  I have been blessed with many riches that could never be bought with money.  Most importantly, the Lord has blessed me with knowing him as my Savior.  I've also learned how beneficial making the right healthcare decisions is for people.

My core values are honesty, a solid work ethic and doing what's right.  My goal is to practice those values as an MediGap Advisors Advisor, as I partner with clients to find solutions for their health insurance needs.

Thank you and I’ll talk to you soon.
